Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return via the courier company, you can contact us at nicole@common-tread.com. 

Should you live in Cape Town, you are welcome to do an exchange or return at the Common Tread showroom in Woodstock. Please see the opening hours on google maps. 

Kindly note that you will be responsible for the courier fees should you return the item via the courier (we can process this for you or you can arrange your own courier), if the return is due to incorrect sizing. Please refer to the sizing chart and measuring method to ensure you purchase the correct size. 

For the toddler shoes we strongly advise against push bike riding - as the friction from using feet as "brakes" places excessive wear and tear on the leather and stitching. 

We cannot be held liable for evident damage from corrosive surfaces, standing on sharp metal or abrasive surfaces or for discomfort resulting from wearing the wrong size and ill-fitting shoes.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Alternatively you can do the exchange in person in Woodstock at the showroom. 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
